I watched the videos Architecture: The Science of Design, and Frank Gehry: Architecture as Art.
1.)For the first video the main concept was the technology and design of the architecture. It talked about the "smart houses" and how much it can do for one human. The house, can wake up a person, have everything turned on and ready to go in the morning, or coming home after a long day. It is incredible how far architecture and technology has come. It also talked a lot about the process of building safe skyscrapers.
In the second video, they mainly talk about Frank Gehry's architecture and his creations over time. The different artwork involved in architecture, and all of his creations. His architecture was never really thought to be the architecture of the future. But as the years went on, he still created architecture that was used through years and years. He even has a museum and it looks incredible. I actually would go visit his masterpiece one day if I could.
2.) In both videos and reading the text, the both described the art of the architecture. It also both talked about the creation and the technology used to create these buildings. There is a lot of work put into these architectures and each one needs to be created in different, safe ways.
3.) With both of these videos I learned a lot. I learned a lot of where Gehry got his ideas from, and how he created such architecture. He was an inspiration to many and even with his own home, he was incredible. The first video I watched I learned how different architectures and even bridges were built to withstand certain weather problems, and weight too. I think learning about the smart house and what it is capable of was probably the most interesting part of both of the videos. I also think how in the Frank Gehry video, he says that things and artistic creations can change over the years. It's kind of like a trend. It changes every so often.
4.) I chose the two that I chose because I'm a science nerd and the title got my attention "The Science of Design." It was an interesting video too. The second video I chose because I was having a little trouble connection to the other videos so I decided to watch this one. It was still interesting to watch but I don't know if it would have been the one I would have chosen.
